Alpers Owens River Ranch
The Alpers Owens River Ranch, consisting of 210 acres at the headwaters of the Owens River in Mono County, California, is a pristine fly fishing ranch and trout hatchery that has been owned by the Alpers family for three generations. The ranch is set in an alpine meadow with over a mile of the spring-fed Owens River meandering through it, offering a “gin-clear” fishing experience unsurpassed in the region.
The Alpers family decided recently to sell the ranch and retained Stillwater to provide consultation services. We helped develop a sales strategy, and provided advice on marketing and due diligence issues. A purchase agreement was successfully executed recently for a sale to a conservation oriented buyer.
