Peter Adams is a native Californian, raised in San Francisco and in Tokyo, Japan. He graduated Phi Beta Kappa from the University of California at Berkeley, where he received both bachelor’s and master’s degrees. During the Vietnam War he served in the U.S, Army, 500th Military Intelligence Group, and received the Army Commendation Medal.
Peter then attended Hastings Law School in San Francisco, graduating in 1975. Having worked his way through law school as an apprentice at the law firm of Graham & James, Peter became an associate there, specializing in international business. In 1978 he joined the law firm of Erickson & Morrison (E&M) in Los Angeles, focusing his practice on complex real estate transactions. While at E&M, he met a local real estate developer and in 1980 joined Transpacific Development Company (TDC). |
