Second, they were team builders. They recognized and recruited from among the best people available to work with them. Their land planner/architect, Clark Stevens, was a case in point. I had the opportunity to spend time with Clark, Chris and Peter on the property and was a "fly on the wall" as they discussed development plans and considered options. I also watched the Stillwater team reach out and build solid working relationships with scientists, zoning officials, non-profit partners, neighbors, and others.
Third, they were hard working. Throughout the due diligence and inspection period they were on the move when there were loose ends to resolve. They were methodical, conscientious and detail oriented. It seems they left no rock unturned - and there were plenty of rocks on the property. |
