The conservation easement would have allowed for our anticipated uses of the property, including a limited number of residential sites to be developed, subject to specific restrictions and limitations as to size, materials, use, and location, while still preserving 90% or more of the open space currently on the property. The land management practices involved changing the current cattle grazing methods so as to provide greater protection for the river and also to allow habitat development for upland game birds.
As part of our due diligence process, we initiated a fishery size, species and number study of the Shasta River with Cal Trout and the University of California. |
